[중국] 수에즈, 유엘라이 생태지역 우수 시스템 계약 체결

수에즈(SUEZ)는 충칭 유엘라이에 있는 새로운 생태지역의 우수 시스템을 최적화하기 위한 계약을 체결했다. 이번 계약은 홍수의 위험에 대비한 중국 스폰지 시티 프로그램(Sponge City Program)의 일환으로, 이 프로그램을 통해 하수도 시스템의 용량을 최적화하여 도시의 탄력성을 개선할 방침이다.

충칭 지역은 중국 정부가 선정한 30개 도시 중 하수도와 우수 네트워크 최적화를 위한 솔루션 개발의 선구자이다. 기후 변화로 인한 극한 기후 현상의 증가와 함께 중국의 도시화가 진행되면서 도시 지역의 홍수와 오염의 위험이 증가하고 있다.

프로젝트의 일환으로 수에즈는 지방 정부가 홍수의 위험을 완화하고 자연 환경으로 배출되는 물의 양을 제어하기 위해 하수도 및 우수 네트워크를 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있는 디지털 솔루션 인 'AQUADVANCED® Urban Drainage'를 배치한다.

이 솔루션은 유엘라이의 새로운 생태 지역에 18.7㎢의 면적에 배치될 예정이며, 4백만 유로의 투자로 2017년 4월에 착수될 예정이다. 도시 배수 솔루션은 이전에 파리, 바르셀로나, 싱가포르 등을 포함하여 전 세계 20개 도시에 배치된 바 있다.

SUEZ absorbs €4m Chongqing project in China’s Sponge City initiative

As part of China’s Sponge City programme to increase resilience to the risk of floods, SUEZ has been awarded a contract to optimise stormwater systems in the new eco-district of Yuelai, in Chongqing.

The Sponge City programme seeks to improve cities’ resilience by optimising the capacity of sewer systems to harvest and treat these stormwater volumes.

Among the 30 cities selected by the Chinese government, Chongqing is a pioneer in the development of a solution for the optimisation of sewer and stormwater networks.

Rising urbanisation in China, along with the increase in extreme weather events due to climate change, increase the risks of floods and pollution in urban areas.
 
Stormwater is responsible for 50% of the pollution flowing into rivers and beaches in urban areas.

As part of the project, SUEZ will deploy its AQUADVANCED® Urban Drainage, a digital solution allowing local authorities to monitor their sewer and stormwater networks in real time to mitigate the risk of flooding and control the quality of discharges into the natural environment.

The solution will be deployed on a surface area of 18.7 km2 in the new eco-district of Yuelai in Chongqing, representing an investment of €4 million and will be launched in April 2017.

SUEZ said: “By centralising and analysing all these data, the software solution will enable authorities to protect the population from the risk of floods and limit the pollution of the Yangtze, the longest river in Asia and an essential water supply for populations.”

The urban drainage solution has previously been deployed in 20 cities around the world, including Paris, Barcelona and Singapore.
