미국 시민 엔지니어 연합(American Society of Civil Engineers)은 최근 ARCADIS 사 물 관련 부서 관리자 마이클 맥피 (Michael J. MacPhee) 박사에게 2013년 존 파셀 라이프(John I. Parcel-Lief) 엔지니어링 경영 대상을 수여하기로 결정하였다고 발표했다.

위 대상은 ASCE 회원의 도심 엔지니어링 분야에 대한 기여를 기념하는 의미를 지니며 10월 9일부터 노스 캐롤라이나, 샬롯에서 열리는 ASCE 연례 회의에서 공식적으로 수여될 예정이다. 공식적으로 1976년에 지정된 위 상은 도심 엔지니어링 전문 분야에서 훌륭한 리더십과 경영기법을 격려하는 의도로 처음 만들어졌다.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO, July 24, 2013 -- The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has announced that Dr. Michael J. MacPhee, ARACADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD) water division president, will receive the 2013 John I. Parcel-Leif J. Sverdrup Civil Engineering Management Award.

The award recognizes an ASCE member's contributions to the field of civil engineering and will be officially presented at the ASCE Annual Conference held in Charlotte, N.C., on Oct. 9-12, 2013.

Officially instituted in 1976, the award is intended to encourage leadership and management skills in the civil engineering profession. The presentation is made annually to a member of ASCE who has made a definite contribution in the field of civil engineering management while displaying high moral character as well as professional integrity.

"Mike is an outstanding leader and we are proud to call him an ARCADIAN," said Gary Coates, CEO of ARCADIS U.S. "After seeing first hand some of the significant contributions Mike has made to the field of civil engineering management, it comes as no surprise that he is receiving this award."

MacPhee, who assumed the role of Water Division President Jan. 1, 2013, has 20 years of experience providing a broad range of water consulting services to municipal, federal and industrial clients across the U.S. and abroad. He has served in key management roles since joining ARCADIS in 2002.
